Partner terms

Updated October 2026

These are the key terms for independent partners of MyCDLCoach. Partners accept these terms in our partner program before earning commissions.

Independent relationship

Partners are independent contractors, not employees, agents or joint venturers of MyCDLCoach. Partners receive no wages, salary, benefits or tax withholding, control their own schedule and methods, supply their own tools, vehicles and expenses, and may work for others.

Commissions

Commissions are earned only when a customer buys a MyCDLCoach product through the partner's link and the payment is completed, at the rate shown for each product before the partner starts. Commissions become payable after a holding period and are paid through our partner program. Refunds, cancellations and chargebacks reverse the related commission.

Behind-the-wheel commissions

Training partners earn a percentage of the training fee based on who brought the student and whose FMCSA registration the training is delivered under, as set out in the partner's agreement. When an enrollment partner refers a student, that partner's commission is paid by MyCDLCoach and doesn't reduce the training partner's schedule.

Price changes

MyCDLCoach sets and may change product prices at any time. Commission percentages apply to the price the customer actually pays at the time of purchase. Any dollar examples are illustrations at current prices. If we change a commission percentage, we'll give partners notice first, and the change applies only to future sales.

Taxes

Partners provide a completed W-9 before their first payout and are responsible for their own taxes. MyCDLCoach issues tax forms as required by law.

Conduct

Partners represent MyCDLCoach honestly, make no promises about pay, jobs or test results, disclose their commission relationship where required (including in social media posts), and follow all laws that apply to their work. Partners can't sign contracts or make commitments on MyCDLCoach's behalf.

Training partners

Training partners deliver training in line with FMCSA Entry-Level Driver Training rules and any state requirements, keep required records, maintain commercial insurance covering student drivers with MyCDLCoach named as an additional insured, and hold any required state licenses.

Confidentiality and ending the partnership

Partners keep student and customer information, commission rates and the terms of their partner agreement confidential. Either side may end the partnership at any time with written notice; earned commissions on completed sales are still paid.
